Hello, my name is Miss Raudabaugh. I am currently the 12th grade School Counselor here at Waynesboro Area Senior High School. I am a recent graduate of Shippensburg University, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology with a minor in Human Communication in 2012. I continued my education at Shippensburg University and earned my Master of Education in School Counseling K-12 in 2015. In addition to having a BA and an M.Ed I am also a National Certified Counselor, NCC, through the NBCC. In addition to my counseling skills in my leisure time I enjoy running, playing soccer, cooking, art, yoga, reading, and Netflix.

My past history includes working as a graduate assistant with the Academic Success Program at Shippensburg University, in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.  My job was to work with a caseload of, anywhere between 25-50, at risk/under prepared students. Over the summer I serve as these students academic coach/counselor for five-weeks where I prepared them for what to expect in college. I met with them on a daily basis to help guide them on their road to academic success by providing them with a wealth of skills necessary in college.  A few of the skills that I worked with students on included: time management, organization skills, utilizing resources, setting goals, career exploration, expanding their multicultural competence, note-taking, how to read a textbook, etc.  After the five-week summer program I was then in charge of the same students throughout their first two years at Shippensburg. I continued as a resource for these students and in addition to meeting with them regularly I also helped them in choosing and scheduling appropriate classes for their intended major.

As you can see, I really enjoy working with students and have been working with students of all ages and in all sorts of settings throughout my life, including but not limited to the following settings: babysitting, working as a daycare teacher, teaching swim lessons, working as a Summer Program for youth camp counselor, coaching kiddy soccer, volunteer assistant coached collegiate track and field and cross country, and working as an Academic Coach for the Academic Success Program. My hope is to utilize the knowledge and skills that I have gained from all of these settings in order to provide Waynesboro students the support they need to achieve their academic, social/emotional, and career goals.
I look forward to meeting all of you this school year.
