Middle School Spanish 1

Homework:  See the Sapphire posting

Upcoming Tests/Quizzes: See the Sapphire posting

Students will receive the syllabus and choose a Spanish name the first week. Students will receive a textbook, which must be covered.

Once they receive them, students should have their books covered and in class everyday.

Spanish 1 counts as a high school class and earns the student a high school credit.  As such, Spanish 1 is conducted as a high school class and follows high school policies and procedures.

Spanish 1 introduces the student to the four basic skills of the Spanish language--speaking, listening, reading and writing. Students will be exposed to the culture and vocabulary from a variety of Spanish-speaking countries.  Students will use the
Aventura text which includes ancillary packets.  Students are expected to have materials in class at all times.

Students need to complete their homework by the due date for full credit.

Students who are absent should see the teacher for their missed work when they return to class.

Grades will be updated regularly on Sapphire.

I look forward to a fabulous year!
