Course Overview:  This course will focus primarily on the history and development of the government of the United States since our inception up to and including today.  We will study the primary governing documents of our country (Constitution, etc...) and how and why they were developed and still used today.  Time will also be spent on other forms of government and the economic systems that accompany them around the world.  Finally, first and foremost, this course will teach and highlight the components of good social citizenship - why it's unique and special to be an American.
