​Course Description:

Forensics is an elective course designed to engage students in the application of concepts learned in Biology and Chemistry courses. Topics of study include collection and analysis of physical evidence such as glass fragments, fingerprint analysis, hair and fiber evidence, organic and inorganic analysis, DNA analysis, and firearms and tool markings. Activities will include lecture, demonstrations, written homework and lab investigations. Students will be assessed through tests, case readings, portfolios, lab reports and a lab practical will be given an a culminating assessment. Students should expect significant outside preparation for this course.
